Extension to multi-level vertical volume delivers a green public realm to the community

Human-centered design set key priority in design thinking to address and fulfill human needs in long term.  At target to improve social quality of life and human wellbeing at present, we as designers and part of the community should also make responsible choices to avoid compromising the ability of future generations in meeting their needs.  That is where sustainability kicks in at our design mindset and living habit.  We push the limit to enhance balance between human needs and sustainability in designing supportive retail in a riverside landscape at Taizhou of China.  Emerging retail with natural and functional landscape, our design extends a continuous accessible ground plane in three dimensions.  Extension from underground to multi-level vertical volume delivers a green public realm to the community, enhancing different functions from community retail to leisure sport grounds in this natural park, in seamless transition.
